Protein Loading Buffer is used for the preparation of protein sample prior to SDS-PAGE.
6X Protein Loading Buffer (β-Me) contains pH 6.8 Tris-HCl ,SDS, Glycerol, Bromphenol blue and β-Me. β-Me breaks disulfide bonds and destroys residual secondary structures. Glycerol is included in the loading buffer to ensure protein samples remain in the gel wells after loading.
